ABOUT THE ONLINE BLOGGING LESSON/COURSE:
This
course offers easy to follow step-by-step tutorial on how to create a
fully functional blog via Blogger.com (Google's free blog publishing
tool). Students will be guided by a mentor all throughout the course
duration. Below is what students will learn from the training.
1st Week: Students will learn the key elements of a successful blog. What's the purpose of the blog, What to write about. Who's the audience. Finding a niche. What to include in the blogger profile.
2nd Week: How to set up the blog. Designing the blog layout. Lessons about Sidebars and widgets. Lessons about labels and posts. Difference between posts and pages. Creating your first post.
3rd Week: How to make the blog interesting and functional. Inserting photos and videos. Customizing design with own banner, logo, or background. Useful blogging tools and resources. How to write for online readers.
4th Week: Techniques to promote your blog. Use of social media and forum sites to promote your blog. Monetizing your blog. Different income opportunities available to a blogger.
Lessons will be posted in OJP forum every morning, Monday to Friday for 4 weeks starting April 22, 2013. You need to set aside at least 1 hour of your time daily to check the daily lessons at the forum and accomplish the daily task/s.
A certificate of completion will be given to participants who were able to set-up a fully functional blog at the end of the training.
